Destination Pavilion
(For Sellers, specifically DMOs)
The Destination Pavilion is a buying and selling atmosphere giving tour operators the opportunity to buy the way they package, with a focus on the destination.
These two days, the DMO's will have 10-minute prescheduled appointments with operators.
- DMOs, you'll be seated in your individual station, arranged regionally. The tour operators will come to you.
- It will be designed in a regional format for more effective product development. (Click here for more information about your booth.)
- It's also an open business floor for more DMO/Supplier partnering and itinerary development. So DMO's, you can decide if you'd like your supplier partners to sit with you.
Destination Pavilion Schedule
Monday
The 10-minute appointments will begin at 2:00 p.m. DMOs, you will be seated in individual stations arranged regionally. Tour operators will have an hour in their schedule with no appointments, allowing them time to shop the Pavilion, make new connections or finalize new product ideas. So, it's a good idea to be in your booth as much as possible, even if you don't have an appointment!
Tuesday Morning
Appointments continue.
Tuesday Afternoon
After the luncheon on Tuesday, the Destination Pavilion will be replaced with the Tour & Travel Exchange (the appointments specifically for suppliers). DMOs, as always, can pick up added appointments during the Tour & Travel Exchange. If you do choose to stay Wednesday and Thursday, state, province and country DMOs will have tables set up around the parameter of the Tour & Travel Exchange. This is a great time to connect and share leads with your destination partners!
Or, if your budget and schedule dictate, you head back to your office knowing that the two or three days you spent at Convention were well worth the investment.
Tour Suppliers
Though supplier prescheduled appointments in the Tour & Travel Exchange take place on Wednesday and Thursday (Jan. 23, 24), the floor is always open at NTA.
What to Expect
With your DMO registration you will receive a 8'x8' booth with a small table, two chairs, wastebasket and ID sign in the Destination Pavilion. DMOs can have profile forms and business cards in their Pavilion booth. No banners, table skirts with logos or displays.
